To celebrate the iPhone's tenth anniversary, the iPhone X phablet was presented to the public on September 12, 2017, alongside the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus and a host of other devices including the Apple Watch 3 and Apple TV 4K (5th-gen). Under the slogan Say hello to the future, Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, boldly announced that the iPhone X is "the future of the smartphone".

Released on November 3 of the same year, with its almost bezel-less design, lack of a physical home button, OLED display, dual cameras with improved depth sensing, and Face ID recognition unlock system, it is difficult to disagree with him.

The iPhone X, or iPhone 10 as it is also known, weighs 174 grams and has a 5.8-inch bezel-less HDR True Tone display with a resolution of 2436 x 1125 pixels. The X comes with 64 GB and 256 GB storage options and the battery offers up to 21 hours of talk time and close to 12 hours of Internet use. The phablet is rated IP67 which means it is splash, water, and dust resistant and features Qi-standard wireless charging requiring only half an hour to fill the battery to 50 percent.
