AT&T runs one prepaid network across the US and Puerto Rico, but each line tops up on its own country page, matched to where the SIM sits.

You don't need to be in the US to top up an AT&T line there: pay from home with a card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

It doesn't matter which handset the line uses or whose name it's under: any AT&T prepaid number in these two countries tops up here.

very nice and smooth experience

very nice and smooth experience. First top to TIM Brasil didnt work because TIM is bad provider. The money stayed in between. So I asked DoctorSIM to change the top up to VIVO (another number of mine) and the money were delivered in 5 minutes to VIVO number, so I could use the data and so on. DoctorSIM works perfectly with top ups.

iPhone 16 Plus Unlock Service

I ordered an unlock service for my iPhone 16 Plus locked to T-Mobile (USA) and the process was completed in barely two business days. I highly recommend doctorSim for the great service delivery and low prices as compared to other companies.

Searching for an AT&T top up usually means one thing: getting credit onto a prepaid AT&T line in the United States or Puerto Rico, often for someone else. doctorSIM has been topping up prepaid phones since 2006, and you can do it here in a couple of minutes.

Where you can top up AT&T

AT&T prepaid lines can be topped up in two places: AT&T United States and AT&T Puerto Rico. Pick the country where the SIM is actually registered, not where you happen to be when you pay: an AT&T US number and an AT&T Puerto Rico number sit on separate systems, so the top up has to go through the matching page.

Sending credit to family in the US or Puerto Rico

Most people land on this page to top up a relative's AT&T line from outside the country, and it works the same way whether you're paying from Europe, Latin America or anywhere else. You don't need to open an account or register the number to your name first: enter the phone number, choose the amount and pay by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The credit reaches the handset directly, and you get a receipt by email so you both know it went through.

Frequently asked questions

Can I top up an AT&T prepaid line if I'm not in the US?

Yes. The top up is tied to the phone number, not to your location, so you can pay from any country and the credit still reaches the handset in the US or Puerto Rico.

Do I need the line to be registered in my name?

No. You just need the phone number; the credit goes to whoever holds that AT&T SIM, so it works for topping up your own line or someone else's.

How fast does the credit arrive?

Within seconds of your payment going through, any time of day, without needing to visit a store.

Is an AT&T top up the same in Puerto Rico as in the US?

No, they're topped up separately: use the AT&T United States page for a US number and the AT&T Puerto Rico page for a Puerto Rico number.
